Challenges
There were plenty of them this time. We’ll have to scrap the story about cheap travel this time. The issue was already settled at €800 for a return flight + hotel. The equipment in our hand luggage was always a challenge. The journey to Düsseldorf and getting to the plane on time, without anyone being able to take us from the ZOB, was also a bit complicated. The only option was to take the FlixBus overnight … after a working day. The return journey from Düsseldorf to Stuttgart at a time when it was still possible to work the next day was not necessarily easy either. In the end, the bruised knee was also a real challenge … but that only “came out” later. Looking back, I’m glad we gave it a try. However, I wouldn’t book it again. In fact, I would rather fly and book on my own. I could imagine that at least after or ideally before the flight, a short meet & greet could really enhance the whole experience. Jim is just a great guy and he saved it for me. Maybe a dinner together would also be an idea … something to make the flight with Rhein Fire a bit more of an event with more contact and more memories. Most of the guests would probably have been happy with an Underberg for breakfast. But I don’t want to be too hard on the people. They didn’t do anything to us and were fine with us. I thought the event was really cool. But there’s still room for improvement. And it doesn’t even have to come at a cost.

Frankfurt Scale
Frankfurt Scale **
Overnight on the FlixBus, then to the airport, to Madrid, to the football match, to the hotel … all without showers … definitely a double star! **
The Frankfurt Scale is a scale I invented that expresses how antisocial the behavior is.
Many factors play a role here, why Frankfurt Scale? More on this later
Rating Madrid Bravos
JUST SHOTS RATING 96/100
- Last time we already remembered the great stadium ++
- Everyone we dealt with was incredibly nice and accommodating. ++
- Great and appropriately large, yet very modern power party ++
- “best burger in Madrid” had a food truck there. +
- Great atmosphere
The Bravos were even better this time than the first time. Even the Rhein Fire fans and the players felt completely welcome and comfortable. Players and fans later confirmed how nice the people there were and how much they enjoyed it.
Of course, we always write from the perspective of photographers who are guests at a franchise. In general, however, there is always a lot of overlap with the impressions of a “normal” visitor.
