This is the way!... home
Apart from the opportunity to get a few autographs in the waiting area, the return flight was not much different from the outward journey. The same people, the same seats, the same suitcases in the overhead lockers. We left on time and landed safely in Düsseldorf after a while. The crowd thinned out relatively quickly, as did we. We still had to get to Stuttgart afterwards. Fortunately, we had found an ICE train from Düsseldorf (to Stuttgart). With my bad knee (and it was getting really bad), there was no way I wanted to travel overnight on the FlixBus again. As we had done many times before, we were able to travel 1st class again for a small surcharge. So the return journey was quite relaxed. Thanks to a delay, we didn’t arrive in Stuttgart until around 0:30, so we arrived in Leonberg at around 1:15. Nevertheless, we much preferred it to sitting on the bus all night. I also had to work again the next day. Fortunately, I had to work from home because my knee was now really sore. Of course, I couldn’t go straight to sleep without starting the backup jobs first.
