- Aslan Zetterberg started playing American football with the Tyresö Royal Crowns at the age of seven, first at linebacker and running back and later as a defensive tackle. He was called up to the junior national team and, from 2017, also to the senior national team and took part in the European Championships with the latter in 2018 and 2021. He spent the 2018 and 2019 seasons with the City College of San Francisco Rams (junior college). With the Carlstad Crusaders, Zetterberg became Swedish champion in 2020 and sack leader of the Superseries. In the spring of 2021, he played three games for the Lake Erie Storm (NCAA Division II). He then moved to the newly founded Leipzig Kings. In 2021, he was selected to the American Football International All-Europe Team and invited to the NFL IPP Combine. In 2022, Zetterberg was named to the ELF All-Star First Team. After the Leipzig Kings’ ELF participation license was revoked in the current 2023 season, Zetterberg moved to the Stuttgart Surge3.
