Carnival club?
The Centurions have “already” been in a state of flux for a few weeks with regard to the coaching team and those responsible. But now the Cologne team has announced two player signings just in time for Carnival. One was Jens Appelt, last season’s kicker, and the other was Jai-Albert Jackson, an ELF veteran. On the one hand, of course, we’re delighted, because it would be a real disaster if Cologne didn’t compete this year, but on the other hand, we still have to ask ourselves what kind of season it will be. In any case, nobody will be expecting a playoff spot.
It’s also simply far too late to be making any commitments. Many of the Centurions’ good players have already been signed by other clubs/franchises.
We’re curious to see if the players can hold out as a safe mattress team.
And will they at least have fun?
Which at least speaks for itself:
The people of Cologne wake up just in time for carnival and are therefore definitely a carnival club. Congratulations and welcome back!
