Finito - Rapido!
The game took a relatively long time, but unfortunately we had no other choice. We had to take the only possible connection and catch it now. We quickly packed up our things. And importantly: distributed between suitcases and photo cases. Without the nice young woman at one of the stands outside, we would have been really lost. She called us a cab. As we really didn’t have much time left. When we got to Lampugnano station, our Flixbus was already waiting to take off. And we walked straight past it. Why? Yes, I couldn’t have known that Nuremberg (the direction of the Flixbus) is called “Norimberga” in Italian. Seriously! That’s what it says on the front of the bus. It took us a moment to realize that. So we got on the bus… and off we went straight to Frankfurt. We wanted to take at least a little nap on the bus. That worked to some extent. There were quite few passengers on the bus and we both had 2 seats on which we could stretch out. Of course, a Flixbus is not a sleeper coach. So it’s not really restful. But at least a few hours were simply necessary. We arrived in Munich at 7am. The bus was quite punctual. Fortunately, Dominik was once again on hand when we needed a port in the Munich region (he actually lives in Erding and refuses to pass as a “Munich resident”). He picked us up at the Munich central bus station and we drove to his place. There we were able to take a shower and edit a few photos. We also decided on the train that we wouldn’t go home straight after the game, as originally planned, but that we would spend the night there and only return on Monday evening. After a few relaxing hours, we drove to Unterhaching.
