1st - Vikings - The Vikings are ready!
The Vikings already have almost a complete and strong team. The Trenches already look good, the QB is good anyway, and the receivers are strong. The departure of Buckrham in the defensive back line has been replaced. The Vikings are ready to conquer the ELF!
2 - Surge - You want to know!
The team from Stuttgart is complete and stronger than ever before. With two new additions of brutal quality, they have replaced their departures in the offensive line and probably improved it even more. Only at the wide receiver position could they still be a little thin. Although they got a brute WR in Cotton, they had two brilliant receivers in Geyer and Meyer. Quarterback Hennessey is not a top 3 QB, but behind the strong O-Line that shouldn’t be a problem. The running back squad is also really impressive.
3rd - Madrid Bravos - A touch of the NFL
The Madrid Bravos have a strong coach in Weidinger and a solid O-line. The organization has evolved and made some impressive signings. If Alejandro and Yasir make an impact in the Trenches, this could be the starting gun for a successful season. The defensive and offensive line still need some reinforcements, but the wide receiver position is loaded. The QB could be the firecracker in the ELF!
4 - Nordic Storm - The newcomers from the north
Nordic Storm is the newest team in the ELF and has already made some impressive signings. Every new addition seems to be a blockbuster. Jadrian Clark may not be the best QB in the league, but behind a strong O-Line that should work very well. Nordic Storm could be the surprise of the season, similar to a Rhein Fire 2.0.

5th - Frankfurt Galaxy - The Hessians are coming
Frankfurt Galaxy have made some strong signings early in the season and appear to be in a good position. With a clear plan and a strong coaching team, they could make a splash this season. The defensive backs and offensive line are solid, and the trenches have been well strengthened. Frankfurt Galaxy is ready to conquer the ELF!
6th - Rhein Fire - Well caught but difficult to assess
Although Rhein Fire have been able to extend the contracts of a number of players and have landed a big hit with the signing of Kwofie, it remains to be seen whether the many changes will work. However, a lot has happened since we created the power ranking. I will revisit this in the individual ratings.
7th - Raiders Tirol - The Austrians a homegrown monster?
The Raiders Tirol have a strong core of homegrown players, but the rest of the team still looks difficult. They are definitely still missing the right reinforcements to be competitive this season. The 2024 season seems to be repeating itself, and that won’t end well. Whether the signing of Miller was a good choice will only become clear when he works with the team.
8th - Wroclaw Panthers - The Poles with solid new additions
The Wroclaw Panthers have made some solid additions and strengthened their offensive line. With players like AJ, Brzozowski and a strong O-line, they are well positioned. There is still a lack of spectacular signings, but the Panthers are on the right track. However, since the ranking, others have “taken off” and I have to re-evaluate that as well.
9th - Paris Musketeers - The French with some catching up to do
The Paris Musketeers have only made seven official signings so far, including Jack del Rio. They still have some catching up to do, but with the right reinforcements they could still take off this season. They’ve definitely made a few more signings (since the ranking), but as of now they wouldn’t be ready to play. That will happen, but it will be difficult to make a statement before then.
10th - Prague Lions - The Czechs with a strong defense
The Prague Lions have a strong defense and a stable O-line. With a strong coaching staff and good organization, they could spring a surprise this season. The QB is not necessarily top, but the team is well structured and organized. The rest of the imports are all top players!
11 - Munich Ravens - Bayern in crisis?
The Munich Ravens have lost two important players with the departures of Oyewo and Jeffries. The departure of Joe Thomas has also weakened the team. So far there have been no blockbuster signings, and the QB performance is questionable. The Ravens still have a lot of work to do to be competitive this season. One of the teams with the weakest offseason performance so far.
12th - Helvetic Mercenaries - The Swiss with a strong QB and WR
The Helvetic Mercenaries have a strong QB and wide receiver, but the Trenches are too weak for the ELF. The homegrown players are not strong enough, and even the best import players have not been retained. The Mercenaries still have a lot of work to do to be competitive this season. A lot has changed here too since the assessment, more on this in the individual critique.
13th - Hamburg Sea Devils - The North Germans with young players
The Hamburg Sea Devils have made most of their signings without European experience and are relying on prospects. So far, they lack the blockbusters and import players to be competitive this season. The Shuan Fatah effect is still a long time coming.
15th - Berlin Thunder - The capital city team with many construction sites
Berlin Thunder still has many construction sites. Although everyone assumes that Jakeb Sullivan will remain as QB, it has not yet been officially announced. And the stadium is also still missing. It remains to be seen whether they will be competitive this season. In the meantime, they have found a stadium. That’s a ray of hope, and the signings are also coming bit by bit. Originally they were at 16, now at 15, but everything is still assessed in an individual critique.
16th - Cologne Centurions - The Cologne Centurions without words
Originally it said: “no words needed”, but there are now quite a few commitments. The Südstadion has also been announced as the venue. There are probably more disruptive fires that can hopefully be cleared up. Nevertheless, the season will probably only be something for fun, not for success.
