Just the 2 of Us: Our shared passion for photography in American football
Our journey as a photographer couple began with a small, local American football team, the “Ludwigsburg Bulldogs”. There we quickly discovered how beneficial it is to share the work. We were able to coordinate and concentrate on our tasks without frantically chasing the action. This experience showed us how well we can work together as a team.
Even before our time with the Bulldogs, we had developed a shared passion for photography. We photographed a lot, but mainly vacation pictures, architecture and landscapes. But when an apprentice who played for the Bulldogs put us in touch with the team, we were immediately captivated by the energy and spirit of the sport.
American football and the photography there inspired us right from the start. It quickly became clear that the Oberliga/Landesliga would not be the end of our photographic journey. We wanted more – more games, more emotions and more challenges.
Our shared passion for American football photography has not only brought us closer together, but also broadened our horizons. We are grateful for every experience and adventure we have had on our travels.
And since we’ve been traveling together as American football photographers, the only arguments and “marital crises” are about which games we want to attend. Sometimes we wonder if we could just be in two places at the same time so as not to miss an exciting match. But in the end we always come to an agreement and enjoy our time together – no matter where the football takes us!
