The last 24 hours have left their mark
So there we were, in Wroclaw. We were extremely exhausted from the last night in the bus and the day before, overtired and yes, unfortunately also unshowered. It felt really bad. The problem: the Wroclaw Panthers game in the Tarczyński Arena was already at 1pm. So it was clear that we couldn’t check into the hotel before then. So unfortunately we couldn’t freshen up or even relax for a bit. And it was clear that we would be going back to the stadium with our luggage. But one thing at a time. In any case, we were now at the bus station in Wroclaw at 8am. It’s quite nice and well-kept, by the way. And as in many other places, it’s also completely underground. It’s kind of fascinating when you have all the bus terminals underground. And these things are really huge!
Burgers save lives
Sounds strange, but it’s true. What do you do when you have to kill time in one place early in the morning with your luggage on a Sunday and haven’t had breakfast yet? Exactly, you look for the nearest fast food paradise. And that’s exactly what we did. We only had to wait a short time before a burger joint opened just around the corner. Perfect, we thought. In the massive amount of time we had left, we could upload a few photos, eat something, go to the toilet and relax a little before we finally had to leave for the stadium. When we went to the toilet there, the surprise. A beautiful single toilet with its own washbasin … handicapped accessible. Wow … Hallelujah! Maria inconspicuously conjured up two packages from our suitcase in the style of Houdini. We then took it in turns to go to the toilet with the “small” package. Quickly freshened up, washed, changed … and suddenly … we felt like newborns. That was a stroke of luck, even though we had taken a step further up the Assi ladder. So we were able to make our way to Arena in the cab, refreshed, still overtired, but much more comfortable.
