The Volkspark Stadium
The Hamburger SV stadium (Rundball) is a real gem. The Sea Devils (later controversially discussed) also painted the pitch beautifully. The open roof with its beautiful curves provides enough light in the interior. Photographically, you don’t have to work as hard in the high ISO range as in Gelsenkirchen, for example, with a closed roof. Of course, we had also chosen a brilliant game for our trip to one of the most beautiful stadiums in the ELF. Rhein Fire were guests of the Teufeln. Of course, the nominal 57,000 seats were not sold out. But it was a brilliant backdrop. Unfortunately, there are a lot of influencers and media representatives in Hamburg who like to ruin your shots. You also didn’t feel as welcome as at the Ravens, for example. BUT it’s more about the stadium than the franchise. You have to say. This thing is great! And at least we got sausages and drinks in the media room. That was pretty cool too. If that sounds sarcastic, it’s really not. It’s absolutely not usual at the ELF for media representatives to get anything. So it was a positive surprise. The power party beforehand was also really great. There was nothing missing and the size was absolutely appropriate. Maybe a few more things for children and families … but it was almost perfect. All in all, a great experience and a wonderful stay.
