The mountain is calling!
As planned, we set off (very) early on Saturday. The train was again 1st class with a surcharge and it was a dream (compared to usual). On Friday, I went to a company party and actually banged up my other knee in a fall. The knee from week 6 still hadn’t healed completely, so I now had two broken knees. I was all the happier with our relaxed program and the train journey. We left on time and the train took us comfortably (with a little delay) to our destination. Emmanuel picked us up in Innsbruck. What a luxury! Many thanks at this point. He took us to the hotel. There was a really strong wind there. So strong, in fact, that our suitcase started to blow away. Emmanuel then drove on and we planned to meet up again later at the game. We dropped our suitcases off at the hotel and made our way to the fast food place a few hundred meters away. We ate pizza there and bought drinks for the night right next door. We then went back to the hotel, checked into our room, I fixed my knee and then we walked straight to the stadium. Somehow really cool when almost everything is just around the corner.
