Arrival in Buda
We asked the trustworthy man from the cab rank directly whether we could change money here. Of course, he immediately asked how much. Luckily, we switched gears quickly and I had already looked on the Internet at “Bolt” to see how much the ride to the hotel would cost. It was quoted at 4€-5€. So I thought we would have a maximum of €10 cash. Interestingly, the trip to the hotel cost exactly €10. But we had expected that and next time we would use “Bolt” again. We’ve never actually had any problems with that
We finally arrived at the hotel and it was really great. I can only recommend it. You can walk directly to Kellenföl train station. You can get everywhere from there and there is also a large shopping mall. There is also a bureau for money exchange in the first basement of the shopping mall. The tram line that takes you directly to the center of the old town and Buda Castle is just in front of the door.
