Trip downtown
Unfortunately, the day started off a little rainy and we weren’t able to use the first half of the day as we wanted to. However, the sun came out from midday and we went into the city. In addition to the beautiful buildings and old town flair, we were able to admire Buda Castle and discovered that the bridge to Pest is an influencer hotspot of ridiculous proportions. They all sit, walk, stand there with their cell phone zombie (usually their partner) next to them and were photographed and filmed. The city is beautiful and definitely worth a detour. Contrary to many reports, it is also quite safe there. We felt quite safe and well all the time. Both parts of the city (Buda and Pest) on the sides of the Donau are inviting for a relaxed walk. We really enjoyed it there. But if you think, Ungarn is super cheap, you might be a little dissapointed.Sure, it might probably be much cheaper countrysides but in Budapest the pricing level was surprisingly close to our standards. Of course i am not talling about butter or something but about going out in restaurants and things like that.
